Make your next move comfortably

A Sudoku app should feel clear when you are reading the board and when you are entering a number. Sudoku Large gives both parts of the experience room.

Select a cell, then choose a number from the large buttons below the puzzle. Starting numbers stay bold. Numbers you enter are underlined.

Keep the numbers in view

You have already done the thinking. Entering the number should be a straightforward part of the move. The layout keeps the board and number choices visually connected, with space between the controls.

Turn on Notes to keep track of possibilities. A pencil marks the cell, and selecting it shows your notes in large text. Erase clears a cell. Undo restores your previous move, including its notes.

Check puzzle points out a number that needs another look. Hint asks before placing the correct number, and you can undo it. Starting a new puzzle also asks before replacing your progress.

Feel at home on iPhone

Sudoku Large is built around the phone you hold in your hand. The board, number entry, and surrounding text share one screen, so each part needs to make sense beside the others.

A simple layout is useful whether you have solved Sudoku for years or are learning the game. You can focus on the puzzle while getting familiar with the app.

Try a few moves in the beta

The best way to judge controls is to use them. If you are testing Sudoku Large, play while holding your iPhone as you normally would. Read about the beta for more on the current testing stage.
