Feel at home with larger text

If you prefer larger text on your iPhone, your Sudoku app should make room for that preference too. Sudoku Large puts readable numbers at the center of the experience.

Numbers are large before you change any settings. Increase your iPhone’s text size and the numbers, labels, and controls grow with it.

Start with the way you read

You might hold your phone close, rest it on a table, or play in a favorite chair. Try the app in the position you usually use. Look at the corners of the board as well as the center, then read the number controls.

The TestFlight beta is a chance to try Sudoku Large on your own iPhone and tell us where you would like more space or a clearer label.

Know your iPhone’s text settings

Apple offers standard and larger accessibility text sizes, along with visual settings for individual apps. These can be useful when finding a comfortable setup for your phone.

A clear view of classic Sudoku

Sudoku Large keeps the familiar 9 × 9 puzzle. At accessibility text sizes, or when the full board would not fit, it shows one three-by-three box at a time. Use the arrow buttons to move through all nine boxes. Whole puzzle opens an overview.

Reading settings also lets you keep the box view when the full grid fits. Your puzzle and reading preferences are saved on your iPhone.

Hear the numbers around you

Read aloud can speak the selected cell, its row, its column, or its box. You can slow the voice down, turn on spoken moves, and stop reading at any time. How to play includes a button to read the instructions aloud.

VoiceOver describes a cell’s position, number, and notes. It also identifies starting numbers and repeated entries.
