Choose New puzzle whenever you want another sheet. Each puzzle has one solution. You can generate and print as many as you like without an account or email address.

Print from a computer

1. Open the Sudoku generator. Choose New puzzle if you want a different board.
2. Select Print puzzle. You can also use your browser’s Print command. On a Mac, press Command-P. On Windows, press Ctrl-P.
3. Choose portrait orientation and one page per sheet.
4. Turn off the browser’s headers and footers if you don’t want the date and page address on the sheet.
5. Check the preview, then print at the largest scale that keeps the grid on one page.

The print layout hides the site navigation, buttons, and solution. It keeps the puzzle rules, a large-text reminder about our iPhone app, and the site address. Letter and A4 paper both have room for one puzzle. Your printer’s margins can affect the final size, so check the preview before printing several copies.

Save a copy as a PDF

You can choose a PDF destination in your computer’s print dialog instead of a printer. Save the file with a name you will recognize, then open it later to print. This creates a PDF from the page on your device.

Print from your iPhone

Open the puzzle page in Safari, use the Share menu, and choose Print if it is available for your setup. Select a compatible printer and check the preview. Apple provides the details in its AirPrint instructions.

Keep the answer separate

On the puzzle page, choose “Show the solution” to reveal the completed grid on screen. The solution stays out of the printed sheet, even when you have opened it.

Keep the page open while you solve. Choosing New puzzle replaces both the puzzle and its answer. To keep a paper copy of an answer, reveal it and take a screenshot before making another puzzle.

Bring large print to your phone

A printed sheet gives the grid more physical room than a phone screen. On iPhone, readable numbers and a clear layout need to work within a smaller space. That is the focus of Sudoku Large, now testing on TestFlight for iPhone.
